Our Experience
We visited The Birchtree Hotel on a midweek evening in March. Initially we sat in the Bar area, unaware that there’s a separate restaurant area upstairs.
Ambiance
We found the music was a bit loud in the Bar, so we asked for a table upstairs. The waiter was happy to accommodate us. The upstairs area, in contrast to the Bar downstairs, has a much quieter atmosphere. It’s small but pleasant, although it was a tad chilly during our visit. Only a few guests came and went while we were there, as it was a quiet midweek night.
Food
The menu was the same for both the restaurant and the bar. The meals were very good – tasty, well presented, and reasonably priced. We will happily go back and eat there again. The staff were also efficient and friendly.

Overall, our experience, while not extraordinary, was positive. Based on the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff, we happily recommend visiting The Birchtree Hotel.
