A fun filled day out with animals to feed and lots of variety of play equipment for all ages.

Mabie Farm Park is set in the beautiful Galloway countryside. It’s not a cheap day out (£38 for a Family ticket – 2 adults & 2 children) but we felt it was value for money.
There are plenty of animals to stroke and feed, including goats, ponies, alpacas and calves.

There’s lots of wide open space, and in addition to the animals there’s an abundance of play equipment and activities for children. Pedal Go-Karts and trikes, bouncing pillows, cresta run, tubing and the bumpy but fun ‘Astro Slide’.
Our kids particularly enjoyed the Hay Barn where you can swing and drop into the hay. This resulted in hay everywhere (yes everywhere – including underpants!) but a great deal of fun! Sadly they’ve stopped the quad biking now so we didn’t get to try that and on the day we visited the pedal boats were not in use due to the pond setting or in the hot weather. However there was plenty to keep everyone amused.

We didn’t try out the tea room so can’t comment on that but plenty of benches were available for picnics.
The staff were pleasant and overall it was a fun family day out that we’d definitely recommend.
