Last checked April 2026 – we visited and updated this post 🙂 Our previous visit was September 2022.
This chip shop is open 8 months of the year from March to November. It’s a little further away than the one in Dalbeattie.
It’s situated next to the Parkdean caravan park in a small precinct.
Although the chip shop was busy, we were served quickly. The regular portions weren’t the largest (£3.25 each). The chips were good; there were quite a few crispy small bits, which of course is a matter of preference!
We recommend a short stroll (a couple of mins) to the beach where there are some interesting rock formations and a lighthouse, which is – unusually – square and currently the second oldest lighthouse in Scotland.
Family score: 6.5/10
